Another Illegal Alien Falls Out of the Obama Family Tree

Another of President Obama’s relatives is being held by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on immigration violations. This time it is the president’s uncle, Onyango Obama, who is also the brother of Zeituni Onyango who, after years of defying orders to leave the United States managed to find a judge who would grant her political asylum.

Uncle Omar, as the president fondly referred to him in his 1995 memoir, was arrested outside the Chicken Bone Saloon in Framingham, Massachusetts, on Aug. 24, when he nearly hit a patrol car after running through a stop sign. Onyango Obama, who registered a 0.14mg blood alcohol level (nearly twice the legal limit in Massachusetts) insisted to police that that they should have yielded to him.

Like Aunt Zeituni, Uncle Omar has also been ordered deported from the United States, but is still here. The question now is whether, if convicted of a DUI offense, he will be deported under his nephew’s new policy of not deporting anyone except hardened criminals. No one seems to know for sure if DUI convictions rise to the level a deportable offense under the Obama administrative amnesty policy.

Just in case, Uncle Omar has secured the services of immigration attorney Margaret Wong who represented Aunt Zeituni in her success effort to gain asylum.
