Putting a damper on the Obama Administration’s claim that we have “turned the corner” and are well along on our path to recovery are the job numbers for August. Last month, 96,000 jobs were created. The problem is that 368,000 people gave up hope of finding a job and stopped looking for one. For governmental statistical purposes, these 368,000 ceased to exist, which is why with four people dropping out of the labor market for every one that entered, unemployment went down to 8.1%. Is this anyone’s idea of an economic recovery?
Here’s what else we learned from the data:
- The sector with the largest increase in jobs (30%) was the service industry, specifically “food services and drinking places.”
- Estimates of jobs created in June and July were revised downward by 41,000.
- The working-age population increased by 212,000, 116,000 more than jobs created.
- The labor participation rate is the lowest since 1981 and the labor participation rate for men is the lowest on record.
Has President Obama ever proposed reducing immigration as a way to put more Americans back to work? Has Governor Romney? Will someone in the media ever ask them this question?

This government is addicted to immigration, it’s been running ever since 1964 with the doors wide open to all. Our major cities are beginning to look like India with the population so dense you can;t walk down the streets without running into someone. Who is going to turn the flood off?? And the bad part is that they are all poor looking for a job
that does not exist. I thought we had laws on the books that all immigrants had to be able to support themselves.
And they sponsor their elderly parents claiming they will support them but as soon as they get here they are signed up on SSI and never worked a day in their life or contributed a dime to SS. All of this needs to be stopped.
If this is recovery, then I don’t think I would have liked the depression at all. I thought we were in a depression.
I suppose if you have a job and you want a $l raise and then offer you 2 cents, that would be going in the right direction according the this adm and dems.

WHAT PERMITS FOR JOBS IS GOING TO DO WHEN 25,000,0000 TWENTY FIVE MILLION AMERICANS ARE UNEMPLOYED. ARE WE INSANE OR GROWING STUPID? ok, ok, really, CAPS LOCK AND/OR ALL CAPS in a reply for attention is not necessary. We all need to realize that the problem is because we have already fallen way over the cliff due to massive global banker fraud, money laundering, and wealth transfer AWAY from the United States, which has been engineered since 1910 (research things like Creature from Jekyll Island/Federal Reserve System, etc, and educate yourself about all the Problems that will be caused by the continual money-printing now going on). The left/right, conservative/liberal, Re-‘blood’-licans/Demo’crips’ paradigm is being exposed as a false dichotomy, where your ‘choice’ is no choice at all, since both of those sides are executing the same program provided by their global, corporate-interest masters who, by the way, own much of Congress via ‘contributions’ and lobbyists. Part of a solution could be to start removing all long-term-incumbent Legislators (both houses). I see that we all are going to have to become more independent (food, transportation, water) in the near future because the Global Foreign Bankers want this Country under their thumb even more. Don’t buy anything from another country, even if you can afford it, and don’t buy anything, including ideas, that are put out by those wanting to cede US sovereignty to other nations. We have fallen so far, I almost despair; I cannot run for office, they would kill me, and although my sacrifice would be for a good cause, I DO have loved ones I care for very much. Ask yourself the question: Who benefits when we ‘have to’ roll out troops and equipment (lots of it) to far-off lands, when people here are in poverty? Why did the Occupy movement go nowhere (who would benefit from its removal as a thorn in the side of Wall Street-money-controlled-government)? Where did John Corzine’s stolen money go? Why are certain “leaders” able to shirk court-appearances entirely(see Georgia eligibility case)?Will America’s defrauded citizens ever see any of the LIBOR-scandal settlement money? Why are banks allowed to continue doing business with “slap-on-the-wrist”,”pennies-on-the-dollar” fines? It is COMPLETELY IMMORAL. I believe that soon, those of us with a voice will either be silenced, or find a way to expose these criminals globally, for ALL to see, FOREVER. Then they will be finished.
