Latest Administration Move Makes It Clear they Won’t Enforce Immigration Laws

Last week – late on the Friday afternoon before Christmas, when no one is paying attention – the Obama administration announced that it would no longer take custody of deportable aliens who have been arrested by local police for what the administration considers “minor” offenses. In an appearance on Fox News, I point out that (if it wasn’t already clear to everyone) any legislation that trades amnesty for future enforcement will not be worth the paper it’s printed on. The president will simply ignore new immigration enforcement laws, just as he is ignoring the ones we already have.
