Rubio Commits To Amnesty

“Sen. Marco Rubio on Sunday began his public campaign to win over conservative support for overhauling the nation’s immigration laws, appearing on a record-setting seven network news programs,” Politico reports.

“Rubio offered a finely calibrated pitch designed to alleviate conservative concerns about reform. He pushed back against claims that a pathway to citizenship is tantamount to amnesty. He rebutted arguments that an agreement would impose dramatic new costs on taxpayers. And he defended the changes as necessary to keep the border secure.”

Border Rep. Says Napolitano Must Read Bill Before Testifying

“Congressman Paul Gosar (R-AZ) told Breitbart News he fully expects Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano to read the entirety of the reported 1,500-page immigration reform bill dropping on in the U.S. Senate on Tuesday ahead of her testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday,” Breitbart.com reports.

“‘This bill is shaping up to be Obamacare 2.0,’ Gosar said in a statement provided to Breitbart News. ‘Thousands of pages cooked up behind closed doors and dropped without enough time for members or the public to read what is being voted on.'”

Tea Party Groups Plan “Intervention” For Amnesty Supporters

“The Tea Party Patriots organization is planning protests on Tuesday at the home state offices of several Senators that the group argues are in need of an ‘intervention’ for being sucked up into inside-the-Beltway politics, including Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Sen. Pat Toomey (R-PA). The group is targeting Rubio on immigration reform and Toomey on gun control,” Breitbart News says.

“‘Two Senators in particular are facing Tea Party pressure, as they should–Senators Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Pat Toomey (R-PA),’ Tea Party Patriots said in a release. ‘Both of these men were elected thanks to Tea Party support, yet Senator Rubio is the star spokesman for a secretive, small group working on a bill that purports to address illegal immigration and the entire US immigration system as a whole.'”

Virginia Rejected Green Car Company Over EB-5 Visa Concern

The Wall Street Journal reported that Virginia state development agency rejected a request by GreenTech, a green car company over concerns about the company drawing funding through the EB-5 investor visa program.

“Virginia was particularly alarmed by GreenTech’s use of an opaque visa program, called EB-5, to fund itself. Part of a 1990 immigration law, EB-5 lets foreigners who invest at least $500,000 in a U.S. company receive green cards. A federal immigration agency approves “regional centers” that administer the program,” the paper said.

“While these centers can be run by local government, GreenTech proposed running a Virginia center itself. One official at the Virginia development agency wrote to colleagues that she couldn’t view Greentech’s EB-5 program as ‘anything other than a visa-for-sale scheme with potential national security implications.'”

Amnesty Debate Spurs More Illegal Immigration

“[A]dvocates of immigration amnesty would now like to deny the obvious: that even talk of amnesty is a powerful magnet for more illegal border-crossing. They should go to South Texas, where the rush has already started, according to a report from WOAI in San Antonio,” says Mickey Kaus at the Daily Caller. The Daily Caller easily found corroboration of WOAI’s account in official stats. Despite the assurance of DHS secretary Napolitano that the border’s secure and getting more so, Illegal crossings seem to have started rising in 2012.”

I am sick to death of imposter-type of politicians catering to their own interests, and abandoning at any cost those who put them into office.

The Green Tech proposal sounds like permission for the fox to run the hen house. I was reading a story about the EB-5 visas the other day, that give green cards to investors and their families who invest 500.000 dollars in a business that creates at least 10 jobs for Americans. But all of the investors described had opened fast food type restaurants, which pay low wages and are nowhere near the higher paying jobs we need. Do we really need more fast food places to compete with the dollar menus that all the fast food restaurants now have?

And you know it’s the local governments that are picking up the social service costs that these low wage workers will be eligible for. This can hardly be the original intent of this program. But like everything else, it just becomes a scheme to bring more people into this country.
