Going to Conference Committee on Immigration Would Be A Disaster
“The Senate immigration bill has become toxic for many on the center-right, and some on the pro-worker left. Its purported ‘comprehensiveness’ has been exposed as a morass of giveaways, backroom deals, and loopholes. Its promises of enforcement could easily be broken (that is, assuming they were designed to be kept), and, as even the Congressional Budget Office has conceded, its enforcement strategies, even if carried out, could still allow millions more illegal immigrants over the course of the next decade,” says Fred Bauer in National Review.
“Observing this grassroots anger about the Senate’s approach to immigration, House Republicans have countered with a “piecemeal” approach to the issue, in which the House would pass a series of small-ball immigration bills instead of agreeing on a sweeping grand bargain. If the piecemeal immigration measures go to conference with the Senate bill, though, the conferees could end up sabotaging this strategy.”
Illegal Aliens Dare Obama to Deport
“Young immigrants in the country illegally have escalated their protests against deportations this week, creating awkward dilemmas for Obama administration officials who are pressing the House of Representatives to pass broad immigration legislation this fall,” the New York Times writes.
“With leaders in the House saying they could take up several immigration bills, the administration is walking a fine line. They want to avoid arrests or deportations of advocates that could create a confrontation between the White House and groups mobilizing support for overhaul legislation that Mr. Obama supports. But officials are also trying to persuade skeptical Republicans that the administration is vigorously enforcing immigration law.”
The Washington Times has a story about the bus protest as well. “Illegal immigrants chained themselves to a gate and blocked a bus in Phoenix on Wednesday in an effort to stop the Obama administration from deporting other illegal immigrants, according to activists who said the move marks an escalation in civil disobedience.”
Debating Obama’s Power to Legalize
“Say Congress fails to pass an immigration-reform bill. Could President Obama use his executive powers to effectively legalize the 11 million illegal immigrants who are already in the United States?” asks Washington Post blogger Brad Plummer.
“Sen. Marco Rubio thinks so. He warned House Republicans that if they don’t pass a bill, Obama will act: “I believe that this president will be tempted, if nothing happens in Congress,” Rubio said, ‘to issue an executive order as he did for the Dream Act kids a year ago, where he basically legalizes 11 million people by the sign of a pen.'”

Well, FAIR needs to mention that Rudolph Murdoch supports the gang of 8, so Fox news being tough on the immigration issues is not completely true. Obama is not any worst than Paul Ryan and the gang 8 on the Republican side.

It’s all about votes…illegals will most certainly vote for the party that made them permanent welfare recipients…Obama will make sure this passes in any way he can..if that means executive order, it will be done.

This administration is a joke, they are more interested on helping foreigners and those in the country illegally, that doing the job they were elected to do and enforce our laws, weather they like them or not. What we need is enforcement of the laws we have, e-verify mandatory nation wide, the stop to birth right citizenship and all the abuses it carries and an end to all the tax payers paid incentives, that bring the illegals here. If we do all that, the illegals will leave the country on their own, because they will have no choice. This has been proven by states that pass tough laws against illegal immigration, the illegals leave to more illegal friendly states and if we do it nation wide, they will leave the USA.

When President Obama took his oath of office, he did NOT say he was going to protect or take care of people from foreign countries, nor did he say he would give any kind of protection to those who broke our laws. Quite often I hear him say we are a “Country of Laws”, so I want to know how he picks and chooses which laws he upholds and which ones he chooses to allow people to break?
This is AMERICA, we have a Constitution which gives us the guidelines to follow. When President Eisenhower deported all the “********”, and that IS what he called them, he did it to protect and serve the AMERICAN CITIZENS and returning VETERANS, making jobs more easily obtainable. When Harry Truman deported illegal aliens he did it for the same reason, making more jobs available for VETERANS.
I cannot understand a President, the Senate and the House for wavering about the millions and millions of illegal aliens who are sucking up welfare that was paid by TAXPAYING WORKING AMERICANS. exactly, I watched citrus harvestors in Central Fl. growing up and my father was one, they always did the books and kept up with what was right to a certain degree. You lose track with false credentials and green cards like ou`re pres..******** is exactly what they were called and greedy harvesters would work them, kids in the groves while ou`res were in school. I always asked is`nt this illegal?? Now they have had families and are all over Fl. and people complain about how are all these Mexicans getting in here? personally i do understand their plight,but just because and in many cases nations like Mexico,Honduras & etc fail and refuse to enact reforms that will create gainful employment opportunities because of the political & commercial corruption thus creating the the situation to where even the worst possible jobs here those here illegally are glad to take..why ?? even 30.00 a day for many is better than 30 month or less where there are from ..can’t blame them but with over 20 million people plus of our our own unemployed & underemployed..the millions who after running out of 99 weeks of unemployment ran to Social Security Disability by the millions thus creating a false vacuum for the total US labor force …too bad those who Illegally Immigrate here didn’t have the courage or support to organize and fight for their rights & liberties in their nations but instead have the young people who also have no legal business being/remaining here..to try and make American look and feel guilty by putting legal us citizens in a difficult position and thus playing the poor disenfranchised race & pity the poor dreamers card by changing the meaning of words to control a discussion & debate.. according to the Saul Alinsky’s rules for radicals game plan
If President Obama signs an executive order legalizing 11 million people, I’m very afraid that there will be a slow rise to a revolution in this country. There are already too few jobs in this country for our legal citizens, and adding 11 million people to the mix will only make this worse. In addition, those working Americans will be paying for the welfare, foodstamps, medical care, housing for these 11 million people. It’s already difficult enough to make ends meet for our own families, please do not add to the burden by forcing us to take care of people that will not take the proper channels to enter this country legally. If Obama is intimidated by the young illegals that are protesting this action, he should not be in office…..

If I was the President I would have States activate there National Guard and deport every illegal they could find. If they enforce the laws we have know they would not to make new laws. Those illegals blocking the bus were all conveniently chained together so they should have been escorted on to the bus for deportation as well! Illegals have no right to protest anything as they don’t have the freedom of speech granted to legal citizens. They are like mosquitoes that think they have a right to your blood just because they exist. Swat them and throw them out! They need to go home and complain to their own government!

The funny thing about the president signing an executive order for a general amnesty is that he said he could not legally issue an executive order for the more limited Dream Act. He said it, said it again, and then said it more times, and then he did EXACTLY what he claimed he did not have the power to do.
How gullible do you have to be to think he is going to do ANY differently, especially were he to sign the Senate bill if passed? He DOESN”T CARE about the law. And WHY would Congress agree to give him and future presidents virtually unlimited power to set any future immigration policy?
