What True Immigration Reform Looks Like: Stop the Hiring of Illegal Workers

Unless we remove the incentives to enter the U.S. illegally, we will not stop illegal immigration. We must eliminate the jobs magnet by requiring all employers use E-Verify and demand rigorous worksite enforcement that holds both employers and illegal workers accountable.

Members of Congress on both sides of the aisle and President Obama consistently voice support for national E-Verify. They can’t take that back.

Take back immigration reform and ask Congress to adopt the popular, easy to use, cost effective E-Verify program to put American workers first.

It’s time to start publicizing and punishing the employers of illegal aliens.

American employers that hire illegal aliens don’t care about American laws. This should not be tolerated.

We teach our children to respect authority and follow rules and regulations, but American employers and their Democrat accomplices in elected office cater to law-breakers. It isn’t right, moral, or fair to even consider amnesty for law-breakers. It sets a dangerous precedent that no one in America has to obey any law not to mention that millions more will flood our unsecure borders.

With greedy employers hiring illegal aliens, it flaunts our laws such that maybe any law doesn’t have to be followed. It’s like America is not a land of laws but a land of options to follow or not follow laws as we choose. Let’s start publicizing the names of employers hiring illegal aliens and start punishing the managers, CEO’s and owners of these companies hiring illegal aliens.

And for your neighbor that picks up cheap help at the local big box hardware store, does he check for legal status of the person he hires and pays cash under the table to this unknown worker?

If you want serious immigration reform, enforce what’s on the books. Secure the borders. PUNISH the employers and publish their names!

IN THE MEAN TIME OUR LAWMAKERS, AND IMMIGRATION LAWS SHOULD REMOVE ALL ILLEGAL AIENS FROM OUR JOBS NOW, AND REPLACE THEIR JOBS, WITH MILLIONS OF THEIR OWN JOBLESS AMERICANS WHO CANNOT BRING HOME PAY CHECKS IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY, IN REALITY THIS IS THE AMERICAN WAY!!!! E-VERIFY SHOULD BE FOR THE NEWLY HIRES, AND ALSO THE ALREADY HIRED ILLEGAL ALIENS, WHO ARE OUR LAWMAKERS FOOLING! THIS WILL BE RIGHT AND IT WOULD BE FAIR!

The government will come up with some crap like: we don’t have the money to police job sites for employers hiring illegals but I bet you could get retired Americans to volunteer to do some of this stuff that needs to be done. It’s done every 4 years for the census. Fine the employer heavily for the first offense. Fine and 2 years in prison for 2nd offense. Fine and 5 years for 3rd offense. Throw away the key thereafter. Oooh but that would hurt congressmen and their good friends who would lose their cheap labor. Illegal immigration can be stopped, but neither the rich dems of reps would benefit by doing that. Sacrifice the many for the few.

E-verify is one of the simple actions that, if used, could curb the massive influx of illegal aliens into the country. It’s incomprehensible to think that those in Congress have not thought of it. So many simple measures could contribute to solving this non-stop problem in the U.S. The fact that our everyday citizens can come up with ways to deal with this problem when Congress cannot…even with laws to back them…is a serious concern.

      American Citizen in Kentucky on

Another big magnet for inviting illegal aliens is BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP. America the only country that is dumb enough to still have citizenship given out so freely. Every child born in America must have one parent that is a U.S. citizen. Pregnant women from all over the world are coming here on vacation to deliver babies, make the babies U.S. citizens and then returning to their homeland, to the country they really love.

We think of e everify as responding instantly; according to Rep. James Lankford is takes over two months to get a response. I can’t remember the exact # of days but it was over 60.

According to the Pew Research Center, only about 10% of American business participate in the largely voluntary e-verify system for obvious reasons. A mandatory e-verify would empty the United States of illegal labor in less than two years – No job, No money, No reason to stay.

This cheap effective system has been sitting there for years but has been consistantly ignored because it WILL work. With illegals removed, NO one will have to listen to the constant whinning about exploitation by the US Chamber of Commerce on wages and working conditions as they won’t be here to complain.

The other big problem for the Federal government has is the deficits and the road to bankruptcy. To solve it, simply revoke Bush’s temporaryTax Cuts for the wealthy back to Clinton era tax rates and presto – no more deficits. Congress refuses to consider that option also.

I fully agree that putting and end to illegal immigration is what immigration reform should accomplish. An important part of this is to remove incentive for coming here illegally but just stopping employment opportunity will not do the job. We must also stop the practice of granting citizenship to babies of non-citizens that are born on US soil. Birthright citizenship for foreigners has been stopped in every developed country in the world except for the United States and it is time we stop this foolish practice. If we don’t, illegal immigration will continue no matter what other changes are made to immigration law.

    I’ve Blogged This Before

Assuming we never implement eVerify in 100% of the American workplace, a good assumption with the current crop of “do nothings” we have in the Dem/Rep open border parties…..try this shoe on for size?

How about make employer lack of immigration law [currently on the books, no Bills needed] enforcement, causing American replacement jobs with 1/2 wage IAs, a stringent criminal penalty. The penalty: auction their companies and corporations to the highest eVerify implemented bidder and lock these American employer criminals in jail, for a long time too.

for the first time we agree…..a crop of DO NOTHING…FURTHER…if the president serves only two terms then how come the congress can serve until they die…It must be stopped..they should no longer serve no more than once or twice……same health insurance like everybody else NO PENSION unless it is voted so for merits….etc etc

There are MANY that agree with you but how do we force the guilty to change their ways. Have you ever tried to take a bone from a german shepard.
