House Leadership Border Bill Makes Process of Removing Alien Minors Worse

Screen shot 2014-07-30 at 12.27.08 PMOverview. Yesterday (July 29), House GOP Leadership introduced its border bill to respond to the President’s request for $3.7 billion in additional funding to address the border crisis. The core policy provision in the bill — a revision of the William Wilberforce Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2008 (TVPRA 2008) (P. Law 110-457) — is based on Title I of S.2611, introduced by Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) and Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX). (S.2611)

The Cornyn-Cuellar bill significantly changes how the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) processes unaccompanied alien children (UACs). Most importantly, it adds a new, cumbersome layer to the way DHS processes illegal alien minors. FAIR published a summary of the Cornyn-Cuellar legislation as introduced. Below is a summary of the legislation as amended by the House Leadership bill. FAIR opposes both S.2611 as introduced and as amended by the House Leadership bill. Read More…

Leave it ti OLD John (the RINO) Cornyn to team up with a Latino Liberal to become his TRUE self. I live in TEXAS and we ARE NOT Proud of John . He has lied about so many things and then put on his PHONY “CARING” smile and look so Serious while lying like a NEW RUG. We want NO Ilegalls in this country. If theNON FELONS want to come let them do it like their Ancestors did and come Legally!
Whatever we do we should NOT go along with Cornyn and Cuellar

If there is an American embassy in the countries now having their citizens emigrate illegally to the U.S., why can’t those citizens go to that American embassy and apply for refugee status to the U.S., if that’s what they truly are… The embassy is likely a loot closer than the U.S. border… The paperwork could be processed a lot less expensively than manning the border and deporting illegal entrants into the U.S.
