ALERT!: First Senate Vote on Defunding Amnesty TOMORROW

FAIR Action AlertCall your Senators NOW!

The Senate will cast its first vote TOMORROW on the House-passed Department of Homeland Security (DHS) funding bill that defunds President Obama’s executive amnesties. Tomorrow’s vote at 2:30 pm is a procedural vote — called a motion to proceed to debate the bill — and it simply determines whether the Senate moves forward to debating and amending the bill.

However, pro-amnesty Democrats are planning on obstructing the legislative process by filibustering the motion. If successful, they will be able to prevent the Senate from even discussing the common sense House bill that defunds the executive amnesty. Instead, Senate Democrats are demanding that the Senate pass a “clean” Homeland Security funding bill, one that does not limit the President’s ability to exercise “prosecutorial discretion” in immigration matters. In reality, that means a bill that fully funds President Obama’s amnesty programs!

Call your Senators and tell them there is no such thing as a “clean” funding bill for the Department of Homeland Security.

Tomorrow’s vote is critical because it takes 60 votes to defeat a filibuster. Importantly, there are at least seven Democratic Senators who voiced opposition to the executive amnesty after voters overwhelmingly rejected President Obama’s immigration policies in the November elections. If they uphold their word by voting YES, the DHS funding bill will advance to floor debate.

There is no time to waste! Call your Senators NOW!

FAIR is calling on our members, activists, and supporters to take action NOW to ensure the Senate defunds President Obama’s executive amnesty. There is no time to waste!!! President Obama is already taking steps to implement his new amnesty programs. The Senate must approve the House-passed bill and send it to the President’s desk. Then, President Obama will have to decide what is more important to him: funding the Department of Homeland Security or protecting illegal aliens.

Supporting President Obama’s executive amnesty is unacceptable; hard-working, taxpaying Americans deserve better than another amnesty and the dismantling of immigration enforcement!

Call your Senators NOW!

Tell them:

  • You oppose President Obama’s executive amnesty

  • You expect them to vote YES on the motion to proceed

  • You want Congress to stop the President’s abuse of power, now and in the future

  • You demand that Congress act NOW to rein in President Obama’s abuse of power and restore respect for our immigration laws.

FAIR

I agree that the unconstiitutional amnesty bill is “unconstitutional” and should not be funded. Amnesty has gotten out of hand and is a very dangerous move. Too many lies are behind this bill and leaves a broken trail of ignored and betrayed promises. Close American’s borders and get back to a normal society without open borders policy for the political gains it reaps. America will reap the Whirl-wind if this bill is passed!

    Hamas On Campus

At U.C. Davis, Students for Justice in Palestine chant “Allahu Akbar,” endorse terrorism

    BY: Adam Kredo–Washington Free Beacon

Anti-Israel activists at the University of California, Davis heckled Jewish students and shouted “Allahhu Akbar” at them during a vote last week on a resolution endorsing a boycott of the Jewish state, according to video of the event obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

The commotion erupted late Thursday evening as pro-Israel students attempted to counter a student government resolution to divest from Israel as part of the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement.

Activists waving Palestinian flags shouted at the Jewish and pro-Israel students as they left the meeting room ahead of an eight to two vote in favor of the divestment resolution, which is part of a larger movement by anti-Israel groups to attack Israel and pro-Israel students on campus.

Following the vote, which was championed by the pro-Hamas group Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), unknown vandals spray-painted swastikas on a fraternity house belonging to the Jewish AEPi organization.

Additionally, Azka Fayyaz, a member of the U.C. Davis student senate, posted on her Facebook page a triumphant message following the vote: “Hamas & Sharia law have taken over UC Davis.”

Fayyaz followed this with another post stating: “If a movement is not controversial, if no one is mad, its [sic] not strong enough & it’s not worth the fight. Israel will fall insha’Allah.”

Pro-Israel activists involved in the battle said the series of events at U.C. Davis highlight the danger posed to campuses by the BDS movement.

“BDS activism, anti-Semitism, swastikas, celebration of terror—these things are found together,” said Noah Pollak, executive director of the Emergency Committee for Israel. “The U.C. Davis administration should be deeply alarmed that a member of the student senate has openly endorsed Hamas, a U.S.-designated terrorist organization whose charter calls for the murder of Jews worldwide.”

Ironic, isn’t it? The majority of the student population, which loudly proclaims how liberal and tolerant they are, then turn around and endorse the very people who are the most conservative and intolerant. Sharia law? Really? Where women are by legal definition not the equal of a man? Where converting to another religion besides Islam brings a death sentence?

One has to laugh when it’s stated that Muslims in western countries are “more tolerant” than their brethren in their home countries. But that’s only because they do not have the numbers to force their way on others. Any country where Muslims ARE the majority means bad news for women, religious minorities, other sects of Islam, and those who are enlightened enough to want to live in the 21st century.

I See Obama Wants a Four Trillion Deficit Budget

With no end in debt in sight.

Meanwhile he contradicts himself by adding costs for IAs. Like American tax revenue grows on trees.
