White House Framework Exposes Democratic Hypocrisy

Since President Trump rescinded the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program in September, Democrats slammed him as an anti-immigrant racist. So, when the White House released its framework for immigration reform, including an amnesty for the 700,000 beneficiaries and 1.8 million “other DACA-eligible illegal immigrants,” surely that should have been music to their ears.

Democrats said DACA was an urgent matter and important enough to them to shut down the government. But when push came to shove, they showed a political issue held greater value to them than the so-called Dreamers.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) responded via Twitter that by ending DACA, Trump had “subjected 800k Dreamers to deportation” and now wanted to “hold them hostage to [White House adviser] Steven (sic) Miller’s anti-immigrant wish list.”

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi asserted that the offer was “part of the Trump Administration’s unmistakable campaign to make America white again.”

And Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), who has repeatedly failed to get support for a legislative fix for DACA declared the White House proposal as “dead on arrival,” saying it install a “hard-line immigration agenda—including massive cuts to legal immigration—on the backs of these young people.”

The reaction was not just hyperbolic, but hypocritical. And nothing new for Democrats on the issue of immigration.

Less than a decade ago, Sen. Chuck Schumer told an audience at Georgetown University, “The American people are fundamentally pro-legal immigration and anti-illegal immigrationWe will only pass comprehensive reform when we recognize this fundamental concept.”

In 2013, Pelosi parroted the “racism” of secure border supporters when she praised Senate passage of a bill “upholds our basic principles: to secure our borders, protect our workers, unite families, and offer an earned pathway to citizenship.”

The Democrats have abandoned their principles on border security and immigration reform and it has gained them nothing. President Trump should remember the principles upon which he was elected and the promises he made to the American people.

FAIR President Dan Stein rightly criticized the plan – it offers “Americans too little while granting illegal aliens too much.”

Every immigrant should stand in line and legally apply to enter U.S.A.. There are many who have waited, and they, and only they, should be admitted if all papers are in order. CA is helping Mexico to to take over. If it was as it was in 1848, Mexico wouldn’t want it.

It was our own lack of US border security allowing those children to be brought in…
they are now part of our policy history…..our failed bi-polar political management…
we dont punish any kids for our own mistakes, its not who we are.
ID, vet, process…within strict legislative parameters…DACA
and secure & maintain our border policies.
Let the adults do Americas business now.
The LibDems are on a steep losing downslope…finally
The US is the coldest-hearted only to the worlds cold-hearted…

I disagree. The DACA was Obama’s brainchild, but letting it happen was completely the fault of thst Congress for not stopping at tged very beginning or any time since. But NOW, democrats want us to be sympathetic to these “children” who came here illegally with their parents and want us to believe that WE OWE them and must let them stay here . Of course, many thousands of these came as teenagers by themselves without family (unaccompanied minors). Surely, everyone can see that these “children” did not know they and/or their families were doing/did do something wrong. After all, doesn’t everyone hide to evade authorities and sneak into another country???

I agree, Marilyn. No one; but absolutely NO one in this Nation seems to understand the meaning of the word “ILLEGAL” as in “ILLEGAL ALIEN”. I have begun to call them “INVADERS” since they secretly came charging into our sovereign Nation uninvited, unwanted, non-guests; and have remained in our “home” as non-citizen parasites demanding their “Rights”. They have NO Rights! It matters not whether they were carried, walked, ran, rode, flew or swam here; they are an Illegal “INVADING FORCE” we need to evict from OUR Nation. There are no alternative solutions but for President Trump to order the immigration laws already on the books be enforced and every ILLEGAL ALIEN hiding in the USA be immediately DEPORTED. NO to any form of Amnesty. NO to any path to citizenship.

Their signs’ Siempre Adelante’ (always forward) and ‘Voces De La Frontera’ (voices from the border) say it all! These so-called “Educated” nuts don’t even speak English! They have ABSOLUTELY no intention to Americanize here; they are hell-bent on ‘Mexicanizing’ the English speaking US citizens! They already succeeded in shutting down for a few days government service for 320 million US citizens (INCLUDING the pay for our military!!) over their selfish self-centered agenda. God bless America if these lunatics EVER get their way in the end.

Don’t blame them for the government shutdown. That was all the democrats, for the benefit of DACA , but the shutdown was done by our Congress members who are SUPPOSED to represent US. I want ALL of DACA, the “dreamers,” and every single foreign illegal in our nation OUT OF OUR NATION. But the shutdown occurred by arrogant democrats, not the arrogant, entitled, ungrateful illegals.

There is video available online of Chuck Schumer speaking on the House floor in 1986, saying that if that year’s amnesty bill is passed, the result “is not millions of people cascading across the borders”. Instead he claimed that “at most” 250,000 might come. We get that he’s a double dealing liar, but what excuses the sheep who keep falling for his dishonesty.

The Democrats want to turn this whole country into the toilet they have already turned California into. And it’s literally a toilet. All the major cities have huge homeless populations, close to 50,000 in LA alone, not including those working people living out of their vehicles because housing is beyond their reach. The streets and sidewalks in LA and San Francisco are being used as outdoor bathrooms and the smell of urine infests many neighborhoods. But there is always plenty of money for illegals.

You always see immigration advocates talking about some budget “surplus” in that state, while they ignore the never ending tax hikes and the massive unfunded pension liabilities and crumbling infrastructure. Considering cost of living vs. wages it has the biggest percentage of poverty and the highest taxes in the country. The former Golden State now resembles a rusty tin can.

I agree, though I can not really understand why they literally want to turn our nation over to foreigners, especially to Mexico. Maybe they all think they have enough wealth to protect their families in a shithole America, but most are delusional because only the ultra wealthy billionaires will have anything. The people will all be struggling just to survive in extreme poverty and violence everywhere.

The members of the former Democratic Party will continue attacking this President, no matter what he offers to appease them. A number of solutions to the Illegal Alien/Invaders of our Sovereign Nation problem have been put forth; even a couple which the Democrats have presented previously; but now reject because of Trump’s Presidency. It’s become very obvious (to me, at least) the Democratic Party has become so radicalized in its’ following of Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals” they are now in a state of complete mass confusion and have no one in a leadership position to lead them or do their thinking for them.
