Two arrests in less than a week for egregious violent yet preventable crimes point out the utter madness of states and local governments continuing to adopt, follow, and even expand sanctuary policies to protect illegal and criminal aliens from federal immigration authorities. Though both were in California, the problem is not unique to the Golden State. Across the country, sanctuary policies continue to protect criminal aliens at the expense of law-abiding members of the public.
In Whittier on July 11, Alejandro Alvarez Villegas allegedly tried to murder his wife with a chainsaw in front of their three young children. Miraculously, she is expected to survive. When Villegas was found at a traffic stop the next day, he also allegedly tried to ram a police car. According to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), he has been deported 11 times. ICE spokeswoman Lori Haley called him a “serial immigration violator.” He has a criminal record, too, in addition to his repeated immigration violations, he has at least one drug conviction in 2013 and a DUI in 2014. ICE has lodged a detainer request asking that he be held for pickup if he’s ever released on his pending state criminal charges. However, since California is a sanctuary state, the request will likely not be honored.
On July 13, Orlando Vilchez Lazo, an illegal alien from Peru, was arrested in San Francisco for allegedly committing four rapes, one in 2013 and three this year. He has been dubbed the “Rideshare Rapist” by police and multiple media outlets because in all four cases he allegedly posed as a driver for a ride-sharing service, picked up drunk women, drove them to secluded areas and then raped them, some at knifepoint. While ICE has also lodged a detainer for him with the San Francisco County Jail, the agency expects the detainer to be ignored if he’s ever released on bond or supervision. San Francisco has a particularly extreme sanctuary policy which requires aliens to be released unless they have been convicted of a very limited number of serious crimes. ICE spokesman Richard Rocha condemned the policy for “shield[ing]criminal aliens who prey on people in the community[.]”
The number of sanctuary jurisdictions has exploded over the past ten years, and especially since Donald Trump was elected in 2016: FAIR last counted 564 of them nationwide. When will politicians in these sanctuary cities, counties and states finally stop protecting criminal aliens and start protecting their own constituents? How many victims have to needlessly suffer from crimes that could and should have been prevented, at the hands of people who shouldn’t even be here? When is enough enough?

When these crimes begin to happen to those who are currently supporting this invasion of our country, we may see change. When it is THEIR wife who is raped, THEIR child who is killed, THEIR car that it totaled by a drunk driver, etc. – the naive supporters of the criminal invaders will hopefully realize the damage they have helped to create. The “celebrities” who live behind high, secure walls, are driven in traffic by professional drivers and frequently have body guards are the worst – telling the rest of us how we should welcome this onslaught. I hope America is not lost but she is on her way to being a third world country – fueled by this hysteria.
The only way to make sanctuary cities stop is to make their elected officials civilly liable for crimes committed by criminal illegal aliens that they refused to deport.
Sanctuary city San Francisco has been losing tourists and conventions because tourists don’t feel safe, although SF’s sanctuary status is not the only cause of SF’s problems. If I was an international tourist why would I bother visiting a now filthy dirty, crime filled sanctuary city like San Francisco when I could instead visit somewhere nice, clean and safe like Switzerland or Tokyo unless I had to for business reasons.
Why deport so many times, when instead that money can be used to help the kids that are left here. As they are better off in the way of food , clothing, and shelter. Why reward for them doing wrong and pay their way back instead of prison time and tell them/show them we in AMERICA do have laws against their illegal ways. We are asking for more crime from them if we allow judges to let them off almost free(saying go do it again). They act kike they want their vote(all from mexico.
Both the crimes you relate happened in the Land of Fruits and Nuts. As long as Californians vote for politicians who are complete idiots, this will continue.
Liberal Politicians have broken laws that they are supposed to be protecting under there Oath they took when they were sworn into Office.
“The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.”
“I, AB, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.” In contrast to the presidential oath, where it’s used only by tradition, the phrase “so help me God”
These liberal Judges are breaking numerous Constitutional Laws and since they were all sworn into office to enforce our Constitution and Laws of the United States. They have broken there Oath on protecting American Citizens.
Each justice or judge of the United States shall take the following oath or affirmation before performing the duties of his office: “I, ___ ___, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will administer justice without respect to persons, and do equal right to the poor and to the rich, and that I will faithfully and impartially discharge and perform all the duties incumbent upon me as ___ under the Constitution and laws of the United States. So help me God.”
I see this in my City too. Everything that is done is for the immigrants. I can’t get a Doctor, housing , or food assistance but illegal immigrants can. They can also raise chickens in the city limits. Throw parties every weekend with live music and fireworks. They can get a driver’s license with no identification or insurance. They can raise and train dogs for the purpose of blood sports in the city limits. (This is a felony in all fifty states).
California is the land of mind numbing idiocy. Cal. Senator Kamala Harris, considered a front runner for the 2020 Dem nomination, has proposed a bill to give a federal tax credit to people who spend more than 30% of their income on rent. This would apply to people making 100 to 125 thousand depending on the area they live. A credit is not the same thing as a deduction, a credit being direct money from the government even if you owe nothing in taxes. So what would be the incentive for people to find cheaper housing when we the taxpayers are going to finance their rent? How many scams would this involve? Who would be checking on all this? More “free” stuff from the left.
Of course, rent is a problem in California, but that was not always so. What actually would do something to stop rent and house price increases would be to cut way back immigration. It’s beyond obvious. The more people you crowd into an area the more housing increases. But say something like that and out come all the labels like nativist, bigot, supremacist. But blacks in particular have been victims of the disruptions caused by immigration with a lot of their traditional neighborhoods now heavily Hispanic, with some blacks targeted by gangs to drive them from the area. Not that Harris cares.
And then there’s always Hollywood and their concern for “women” and ” the children”. Never mind that it was obvious, given the number of people that have come forward, that everyone knew for years all about Clinton pal Harvey Weinstein. And they are absolutely shocked, in tears frequently, when discussing the children separated from their parents at the border. Never mind that for decades they defended director Roman Polanski, who fled the country after his indictment in 1977 for giving liquor to a 13 year old and having sex with her. In fact when he won the Oscar for The Pianist in 2002 he got a standing ovation from the audience including Meryl Streep. But Trump.
These current rabid liberals don’t care about legal citizens. They want open borders and for illegals to be equal to legal residents/citizens. They want a free for all in America with no vetting. Liberals don’t give a crap about our own citizens. And they like cheap labor. I read an article earlier about how Democrats champion illegal migrants who will add a greater share of the population to their district as well as a future voter base in order to give Democrats more control and power over government and America. They are very devious in how they defend illegals in order to use them for their agenda. And of course illegals don’t care how they are used as long as they can stay in America.
