A Liar and an Unregistered Foreign Agent Demand Control of the Immigration Policy Debate

Social media trolling, fake, anger, bullying and scandal signs.

We live in an age in which our ever-diminishing freedom of speech is increasingly controlled by unaccountable gatekeepers. Facebook, Twitter, Google and other social media behemoths now exercise unprecedented control over what people can say on the monopolistic platforms they control.

Now the Fascist Left is mounting a coordinated campaign to exclude any expression of opposition to mass immigration and illegal immigration from the public square. The effort is being led by Jose Antonio Vargas and Hassan Ahmad who have taken to Twitter to demand that media outlets like The New York Times, Washington Post and NPR bar FAIR, the Center for Immigration Studies and other effective policy groups that have frustrated the mass immigration lobby’s agenda.

Jose Antonio Vargas is the founder of a group known as Define American, which arrogantly posits that anyone has a right to show up in the United States and define for the rest of us what the country stands for. As Vargas has been boasting for years, and most recently in a video posted on The Atlantic’s website, “I am an undocumented citizen of this country.” In the video he asserts, “I’m here as an undocumented immigrant with no papers, no green card, no passport, and no legal documents, but I am still a citizen of this country.” Why? Because he says so. That’s why.

Vargas may be an “undocumented immigrant,” but what is documented is that he is a liar and a fraud. For years he lied to his employers (including the Washington Post) about his immigration status and engaged in document fraud to get away with working for the Post and other employers. Why? Because Vargas believes that as he “defines American,” he is endowed with an unalienable right to violate laws that he finds inconvenient.

If there is anyone who should stop being “validated” by news organizations, like the Washington Post, it is a guy who willfully lied to them from the first moment he set foot in their building.

And the other guy, Ahmad? He’s a mouthpiece for a propaganda organ of a foreign government – and not a particularly friendly one, at that. Ahmad, whose day job is being an immigration attorney, moonlights as a commentator on Al Jazeera to spread malicious lies about people and organizations that support immigration enforcement.

Al Jazeera is a television “news” organization run by the government of Qatar – a despotic Arabian Gulf monarchy with a lot of money and an appalling human rights record. The government of Qatar has even been implicated in the horrific terrorist attack on a concert venue in Manchester, England, which left 22 people (mostly children and teenagers) dead and some 500 wounded.

In defense of unfettered illegal immigration, advocacy groups have demanded, among other concessions, that we turn criminal aliens (sorry, Twitter) loose on our streets, that we leave millions of citizens vulnerable to identity theft, and now they are setting their sights on subverting the First Amendment. Thanks, but that’s not how the rest of us “define American.”
