DHS Considers a Plan to Bring Back Deported Aliens

President Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is reaching new levels of absurdity as they consider a plan to bring illegal aliens deported during the Trump administration back to the United States. According to the Associated Press (AP), the plan was brought before White House staff by the National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC), an open borders lobby group, and currently has the support of 75 immigrants’ rights organizations.

The NIJC suggests that the plan could be carried out through executive order by President Biden. It hopes to create a new office under the DHS that would process requests for return by previously deported aliens.

A similar initiative is in the works to provide amnesty and reparations to more than 1,000 illegal aliens previously deported by the Trump administration. The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is in settlement negotiations with the Biden administration to secure amnesty for deported illegal alien parents and their children left in Health and Human Services (HHS) custody. The settlement would also include compensation and access to taxpayer-funded social services and welfare programs.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, the Biden administration continues to push for a mass amnesty for more than 14 million illegal aliens currently residing in the United States. To make matters worse, Biden’s amnesty plan would allow illegal aliens who were deported under Trump and have not been convicted of a felony or three misdemeanors to fly back to the U.S. and receive amnesty.

There were nearly 900,000 illegal aliens deported over the course of Trump’s time in office and while a majority had criminal convictions, there are hundreds of thousands of deported aliens who would qualify under the plan’s requirements. It is important to note that these deportations were conducted in accordance with federal law. The Biden administration is proposing that we not only repent for enforcing our immigration laws, but also reward lawbreakers who were appropriately returned to their home countries.

Obviously, all of the above proposals are terrible ideas and would prove detrimental. American workers already have to compete with illegal aliens and foreign-born temporary workers for jobs. Any form of amnesty would not only drastically increase this competition as more illegal aliens are given work permits, but it would also cause a significant surge in taxpayer costs.

President Biden continues to prove that he does not have the best interest of the American people in mind. He continues to reward illegal and unlawful activity, tear down protective policies and prioritize a radical open borders agenda.
