Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin directed state and local law enforcement in the state to enter into 287(g) agreements with ICE. After four years of anti-enforcement policies that undermined the program, the Trump administration is demonstrating a renewed commitment to forging partnerships with state and local officials. States across the country now have the opportunity to do the same and help protect their communities.
