There are several important immigration-related hearings on Capitol Hill during the week of February 22 that FAIR wants to make you aware of.<\/p>\n

Tuesday, February 23 at 10 a.m. EST<\/b><\/p>\n

The Senate Judiciary Committee is holding a hearing entitled, \u201cThe Unaccompanied Children Crisis: Does the Administration Have a Plan to Stop the Border Surge and Adequately Monitor the Children?\u201d Five administration officials are testifying at the hearing: Kay Brown, Director, Education, Workforce, and Income Security, Government Accountability Office; Ronald Vitiello, Deputy Chief, U.S. Border Patrol; Mark Greenberg, Acting Assistant Secretary, Administration for Children and Families, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services; Juan Osuna, Director, Executive Office for Immigration Review, U.S. Department of Justice; and Thomas Homan, Executive Associate Director, Enforcement and Removal Operations, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.<\/p>\n

Wednesday, February 24 at 10:30 a.m. EST<\/b><\/p>\n

The House Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies is holding a budget hearing for the Department of Justice. Attorney General Loretta Lynch is the sole witness testifying at the hearing.<\/p>\n

Thursday, February 25 at 2:30 p.m. EST<\/b><\/p>\n

The Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration and the National Interest is holding a hearing entitled, \u201cThe Impact of High-Skilled Immigration on U.S. Workers.\u201d\u00a0 There are six witnesses testifying at the hearing: Leo Perrero, a former Disney IT Engineer who was replaced by a foreign worker; John Miano, lead counsel for the WashTech case; Mark O\u2019Neill, Chief Technology Officer for JackThreads; Prof. Hal Salzman; Prof. Chad Sparber; and Prof. Ron Hira.<\/p>\n
