On May 4, the Louisiana House of Representatives overwhelmingly <\/i><\/b>passed two critical measures, HB 1148<\/a> and HB 453<\/a>, to combat dangerous sanctuary policies in the state!<\/p>\n Sanctuary policies are ordinances, resolutions, executive actions or initiatives that prohibit law enforcement from inquiring, acting on, or reporting an individual\u2019s immigration status, or that otherwise impede their ability to cooperate with federal immigration officials.<\/p>\n Both bills are currently waiting to be scheduled in the Senate. Call your Senator today and tell him or her that you support the House\u2019s decision to pass critical anti-sanctuary legislation!
