{"id":22965,"date":"2020-05-14T10:45:24","date_gmt":"2020-05-14T14:45:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.immigrationreform.com\/?p=22965"},"modified":"2020-05-14T10:45:26","modified_gmt":"2020-05-14T14:45:26","slug":"covid-19-illegal-alien-benefits-congress-immigrationreform-com","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.immigrationreform.com\/2020\/05\/14\/covid-19-illegal-alien-benefits-congress-immigrationreform-com\/","title":{"rendered":"Illegal Alien Double Dippers?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and her fellow members of the \u201cOpen Border Caucus\u201d have introduced the \u201c<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/appropriations.house.gov\/sites\/democrats.appropriations.house.gov\/files\/documents\/Heroes%20Act%20Summary.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Heroes Act<\/a>,\u201d a $3 trillion dollar stimulus package that contains not just a paragraph, but an entire section on <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/world\/us\/3-trillion-heroes-act-will-help-a-wider-range-of-immigrants-as-social-security-no-is-not-required\/articleshow\/75712300.cms\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">special benefits<\/a> they\u2019d like to bestow upon the nation\u2019s illegal immigrant population.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the more expensive benefits\nthey would give the nation\u2019s illegal aliens is the same Coronavirus relief aid\nrecently given to Americans and legal residents.&nbsp; Under their proposal, everyone who uses an\nIndividual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) to file their taxes would\nreceive $1,200.&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But by doing so, if the bill passes \u2013\nand that is an enormous if \u2013 House Democrats have created a situation\nwhere illegal aliens in some areas of the country could actually receive <strong>significantly more financial relief<\/strong>\nthan legal residents and U.S. citizens.&nbsp;\nHow could this happen, you might ask?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Illegal aliens\nresiding in California, Oregon, Washington and New York City, Austin, Boston,\nMinneapolis, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco have already received\ncoronavirus relief funds from state and local governments.&nbsp;
