{"id":25509,"date":"2022-03-23T13:34:30","date_gmt":"2022-03-23T17:34:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.immigrationreform.com\/?p=25509"},"modified":"2022-03-23T13:34:33","modified_gmt":"2022-03-23T17:34:33","slug":"mayorkas-new-homeland-security-members-immigrationreform-com","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.immigrationreform.com\/2022\/03\/23\/mayorkas-new-homeland-security-members-immigrationreform-com\/","title":{"rendered":"Mayorkas Picks a Panel of Yes Men (and Women)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The newly reconstituted <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2022\/03\/21\/dhs-alejandro-mayorkas-picks-corporate-ceos-for-advisory-council\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Homeland Security Advisory Council<\/a> (HSAC) is loaded with men and women dedicated to more immigration, more foreign labor and evermore profits for their global ventures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dhs.gov\/homeland-security-advisory-council-members\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">New panelists<\/a> include CEOs from General Motors, Oracle, American Airlines, United Airlines and Bank of America, plus a host of other stakeholders equally committed to open-borders policies. The left-leaning Brookings Institution has not one, but two, representatives onboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The pecuniary and political bent of these appointments by Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas comes as no surprise. Under President Barack Obama, Mayorkas preached the <a href=\"https:\/\/cis.org\/Vaughan\/Mayorkas-USCIS-Staff-Just-Say-Yes-Or-Else\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cGet to Yes\u201d<\/a> gospel while running U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and its scandal-ridden cash-for-visas program. Now, broadening his scope, he has moved on several fronts to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fairus.org\/press-releases\/fair-mayorkas-failing-live-his-oath-office-i-pledge-defend-and-secure-our-country\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">cripple and dismantle<\/a> immigration enforcement at every DHS agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jon Feere, an analyst at the Center for Immigration Studies, said Mayorkas\u2019 HSAC is \u201cmade up primarily of establishment business and cheap labor\/open border advocates. \u2026 I&nbsp;don\u2019t see any that seek to promote the interest of American workers, nor do I see anyone who has made a career of demanding a serious commitment to the enforcement of immigration laws.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rather than selfless volunteers asking what they can do for their country, Secretary Mayorkas\u2019 panel is larded with special interests possibly inclined to reverse that question. It\u2019s a disturbing prospect, given that the U.S. already is home to record numbers of immigrants \u2013 legal and illegal \u2013 and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsmax.com\/bobdane\/american-workers-labor-illegal-immigration-immigration\/2021\/07\/23\/id\/1029717\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">American workers<\/a> are disadvantaged daily by the deluge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If HSAC intends to fulfill a meaningful role in safeguarding America\u2019s sovereignty, the critical missions of border enforcement and workplace security must top the priority list. \u201cGet to Yes\u201d Mayorkas might not appreciate any contrary advice, but the American people expect honest brokers who put this country first, not self-dealers giving political cover to un-American agendas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The newly reconstituted Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC) is loaded with men and women dedicated to more immigration, more foreign labor and evermore profits for their global ventures.
