Karl Marx once said, \u201cHistory repeats itself, first as tragedy, second as farce.\u201d Marx\u2019s prediction is about to play itself out in Congress, where the Senate is expected to begin deliberations on the tragically farcical Gang of Eight immigration bill. In an op-ed I wrote for the Politix<\/a> online opinion site, I point out a few of the tragically failed promises of the 1986 amnesty bill, and the farcically identical promises the Senate is asking the American public to believe in 2013.
