The forum will focus on border crime and violence, with an emphasis on how it affects farmers and ranchers who live and work along the US-Mexico border. \u00a0All members of the House Judiciary Committee were invited to attend.<\/p>\n<p>Several witnesses will testify on the growing violence and lawlessness along the border. The list of witnesses includes:\u00a0 <strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. <strong>Sheriff Sigifredo Gonzalez, Jr.,<\/strong><em> Zapata County, TX <\/em><\/p>\n<p>2. <strong>Tiffany Hartley<\/strong>, <em>widow of David Hartley<\/em><\/p>\n<p>3. <strong>Janice Ayala<\/strong>, <em>Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Acting Deputy Associate Director <\/em><\/p>\n<p>4. <strong>Roland Garcia<\/strong>, <em>Special Ranger for the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association<\/em><\/p>\n<p>5. <strong>Todd Staples,<\/strong> <em>Texas Agriculture Commissioner<\/em><\/p>\n<p>6<strong>. Steven McCraw<\/strong>, <em>Director, Texas Department of Public Safety<\/em><\/p>\n<p>7.\u00a0 <strong>Carlos Garcia,<\/strong> <em>Chief of Police, Brownsville Texas<\/em><\/p>\n<p>8.\u00a0 <strong>Carlos Cascos,<\/strong> <em>Cameron County Judge<\/em><\/p>\n<p>9<strong>.
