Mark Levin – Amnesty Means Expanding the Welfare State

“Radio’s Mark Levin on Friday evening excoriated House GOP leadership, particularly House Speaker John Boehner, Majority Leader Eric Cantor and Budget Committee chairman Paul Ryan, for their immigration policies that will end up aiding an increased welfare state,” says Breitbart News.

“Levin said he thinks it’s a ‘mistake to say the Republicans really think they can get these illegal aliens’ to vote for them if they’re granted amnesty and eventually citizenship. ‘The vast majority of them will not,’ Levin claimed. ‘If they can’t read the Constitution of their home country, how are they going to read ours? It’s much easier to say you have a right to this, you have a right to that. Well the question is this: What are the Republicans going to do about it? The Republicans are going to support amnesty.'”

Half An Amnesty Is Still As Bad

“Jobs are scarce, and Congress is cooking up a scheme to make them scarcer. The Labor Department reported Friday that the economy created only 74,000 jobs in December, the lowest comparable number in three years, and half of those were part-time jobs. It’s bad out there, and getting worse. President Obama’s “recovery” is recovery with no jobs,” the Washington Times says in an editorial.

“When Shenandoah Family Farms recently announced it would hire 35 workers on reopening a vacant milk and ice cream plant in Hagerstown, Md., 1,600 people applied — about 46 job seekers for every opening. Similar scenes are repeated in every state, but some congressmen are determined to flood the market with millions more job seekers, intensifying competition for scarcer jobs.”

Deportations Drop 30 Percent in Northwest

“Deportations of unauthorized immigrants in Washington and Oregon dropped 32 percent from 2012 to 2013, according to data from the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency. Yet, people on both sides of the immigration debate find the numbers troubling,” KUOW.org reports.

“Since President Barack Obama took office, deportations of unauthorized immigrants have continued at record levels, topping out at 409,849 removals in fiscal year 2012. That annual number dropped in 2013 for first time during Obama’s presidency.”
