\"homepage_oped\"<\/a>In an op-ed published in Sunday\u2019s Chicago Sun-Times<\/a>, I offer a rebuttal to Chicago Archbishop Blase Cupich\u2019s call for amnesty for illegal aliens. The op-ed points out that the current debate over immigration reform consistently omits the interests of the American people. And, while \u201cthe archbishop is no doubt a sincere and compassionate man who sees immigration as a way to help the world\u2019s poor. The problem\u2026is that there is no moral or ethical doctrine that justifies being charitable with other people\u2019s jobs, tax dollars or children\u2019s education.<\/p>\n
