Obama’s Record of Dismantling Immigration Enforcement: New and Updated

Since taking office in 2009, President Obama has set his sights on granting mass amnesty for the entire illegal alien population. Despite overwhelming opposition from the American people, the President began his second term by teaming up with the Senate Gang of Eight to try to ram through a mass amnesty guest worker bill. Ultimately, true immigration reformers prevailed and the bill never became law.

However, in the absence of “comprehensive immigration reform,” President Obama has taken steps unilaterally throughout his time in office to undermine immigration enforcement and ultimately grant de facto amnesty to millions of illegal aliens. The Obama administration’s strategy is predicated on the fact that the public and the media will not take notice of each individual and incremental step they are taking. To combat this, FAIR’s Government Relations Department has produced a report exposing this strategy and the policy objective behind it. Today, FAIR releases the latest update to President Obama’s Record of Dismantling Immigration Enforcement which details all actions taken by the administration to undermine immigration enforcement through December 2015.
