Justice Department Chooses to Ignore the Law?

Francisco Aguirre, an illegal alien from El Salvador who was convicted of narcotics trafficking in 2000 and deported, and who subsequently returned illegally to the United States fell into the hands of the immigration authorities in 2014 for a DWI charge. He was not taken into custody and went into hiding in a Portland, Oregon, church basement. Now, according to the Fusion website, the charge of illegal reentry has been dropped by the Department of Justice, meaning that the Obama administration has chosen to ignore the law. He may still be deported, but the article claims that the immigration authorities are trying to avoid having him go before an immigration judge.

His treatment by the administration is apparently due to the fact that Aguirre has been working with the National Day Laborers Organizing Network to organize illegal alien workers and is supported by that politically active organization.
