USCIS Slapped with Class Action Lawsuit, Accused of Taking Fees and Skipping Background Checks

Portland, OR, USA - September 27, 2016: U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is a component of the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS). It performs many administrative functions formerly carried out by the former United States Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS), which was part of the Department of Justice.

Last November, a class action lawsuit was filed against U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the agency within Homeland Security responsible for legal immigration, for unlawfully charging aliens millions of dollars for biometric fees but never conducting the biometric screenings.
