New details have emerged about a series of White House conference calls held leading up to the nearly clandestine announcement expanding prosecutorial discretion for non-criminal illegal aliens.
While Republican Members of Congress, immigration enforcement groups and much of the media were kept in the dark about the announcement until a message was posted on the White House website, the Administration held a series of phone conferences with amnesty advocates before making the official policy announcement. Following initial calls with the staff of congressional DREAM Act supporters, the White House held a conference call open only to amnesty supporters. Those groups invited and/or participating included: the AFL-CIO, SEIU, America’s Voice, Voto Latino, MALDEF, and NCLR.
According to the records available, not one dissenting organization or Member of Congress was included or consulted during the roll out of the outrageous new policy. Additionally, only Hispanic media were invited to the initial background conference call on the announcement.
The secretive nature of the announcement and accompanying calls highlight the dangerous tactics of the Obama Administration. If the Administration is unwilling to make even the list of participants on a conference call public, let alone the content of what is discussed, how can their policies or reassurances that immigration laws are being enforced ever be trusted?

Two of Obama’s principal immigration advisors are as slimy as the President regarding illegal immigration.
Cecilia Munoz, a vice president for policy at the National Council of La Raza, a Hispanic civil rights organization, who for years flooded the media waves with false & hateful smears that anti-illegal immigration groups were “hate groups that promoted hatred and bigotry.” In spite of the facts, Ms. Munoz repeated sermonized that crossing the U.S. border illegally was a civil offense, not a criminal one. She steadfastly refused to acknowledge that Title 8, Section 1325 of the U.S. Code clearly states that illegal entry into the United States is a misdemeanor on the first offense, and a felony afterward. Munoz believes that America needs millions of unskilled illegal foreigners, and that they “pay their way”.
Then there’s Hilda Solis, Obama’s Secretary of Labor. Solis represented my district in the California State Assembly. At a local Latino voter registration event many years ago, Solis asserted that “We are all Americans, whether you are legalized or not.” While Solis was in Congress, she opposed strengthening the border fence, supported driver’s licenses for illegals, embraced sanctuary cities, and vigorously championed mass amnesty for illegal immigrants.
Amazing & pathetic, that Obams’a key illegal immigration advisor, and the official in charge of enforcing the nation’s employment laws don’t seem to give a hoot about our immigration laws — or about the fundamental distinction between those who followed the rules in pursuit of the American dream and those who didn’t.
The fact that Obama is meeting with special interest groups and THEN goes forward on their mission to circumvent the law is reprehensible and shows how Obama disrespects the law and our congress. I have never been for the impeaching of president before but NOW I believe Obama should be impeached.

If they came here legally and could do a better job than i could, then I’m all for it let them have my job, but if they are here illegally and can not do it any better than i can but they will work under the table or for less money than the market average then that is distructive to our society
Well, let’s see. Throughout history when the Irish, German and many other countries came to the United States before and after the great depression, did they come here LEGALLY? Of course not. They came here ILLEGALLY like many that are doing it today. Just for the record, my parents came here legally to the US and eventually became citizens. And how do you know that illegals don’t pay taxes?? If you do a little bit of research, you will know that many illegals pay taxes and contribute to this country and never reap the benefits. I’d like to know how your family came here illegally? Ellis Island was always strict, if your were sick or has a disease you were sent home. There were quotas from each country because even in those days the government knew you can’t bring millions of people from one country all at once. The immigrants came here not just for money and what they could get out of the citizens of the USA. They wanted to be an American, learned English, flew the American flag and took nothing from their adopted country. They worked in the coal mines, the factories, the steel mills and gave their talents back asking nothing.
However, the illegals demand rights that are theirs. They wave the Mexican flag and scream that this country is really theirs. Hundreds of years ago they passed through the southwest.. America bought land from other countries, France, Spain, Russia or attained land through war. This is NOT their land! If the illegals want a better life, protest in your country and leave ours alone!

My grand parents came from Spain in the early 1900s LEGALLY, I have the original documents to prove it, My husband grand parents came from Germany in the late 1800s LEGALLY and we have the original papers to prove it also, so no, you are wrong, the immigrants of the past were people of principles and they did things right, not like the wave of illegal immigrants we get today.
You are also wrong about the taxes they pay and that is a fact. I also were not born in America, I was born in Latin America, my grand parents came here legally, as I said before, my mother was born in Arizona, and even do my mother was an American, I have to go in big lines at my country of birth, to get the proper papers to come here. and I have no sympathy for those who choose to break our laws and come illegally. As to the taxes they pay, they know ahead of time that they will not be able to get that money back, or at least some of it, because this government give them special refunds or credits, so what they do is they claim as many dependents as they could, to limit what is taken off from their checks and there for pay very little and get a lot more from free services, with OUR tax money. That is the true, and if you claim different, I really don’t know where you have been living.
I move between the two cultures, I am fluent in the Spanish language and I know the true behind this problem.
I am a native American, look what you and the illegals have done to this country! I will at least stand by those that have made the effort and shown the respect to come here legally, but for those that come illegally, and protest for their rights, they should be subjected to the same immigration laws and penalties that their countries have in place.
