Report: Unlicensed Drivers 3x More Likely to Cause Fatal Crash in CA
“A recently released Department of Motor Vehicles report is adding fuel to the debate over whether illegal immigrants should be eligible for drivers’ licenses. Unlicensed drivers in California — the vast majority of whom are illegal immigrants — are nearly three times as likely to cause a fatal crash as licensed drivers, according to the study,” the LA Times reports.
“One study shouldn’t trump the obvious — if you don’t want illegal aliens in the country, why do you want to encourage them to be on the roads?” said Bob Dane, spokesman for the Washington-based Federation for American Immigration Reform. “It just defies common sense.”

Then, and only then, will we have a conversation about changing the stupid speed limits.'”

He made his comment while being questioned about his support for a bill to give driver’s licenses to 250,000 illegal immigrants in Illinois. Sheriff Mark Curran agreed to debate the controversial legislation at a public meeting on his home turf in Lake County, Illinois. At least, it was supposed to be a debate but then he decided that he didn’t want to debate the issue after all,” the Washington Times reports.

This is true even for some low skilled service jobs like a maid robots could reduce their number. but the Chmaber of Commerce is thinking about the here an now not 10 or 20 years down the road.
Norquist believes that for an economy to grow you have to have constant population gorwth. Hispanics younger than whites and still have more kids though that seems to be dropping now. Norquist still mentions about that tradional values when the ones that will bel able to vote on born in the United States or came here young tend to be more liberal than their parents on the gay issue and abortion.

The media is in overdrive to convince the public that Romney would have won if only he had gotten a few more percentage points of the Hispanic vote. First of all, the Hispanic vote was 10% of all votes cast, which was 118 million. Romney would have needed to get over 60% of the Hispanic vote to win the popular vote. That will never happen because Democrats will always outpander the GOP on Hispanic “issues”. If they get “reform” aka amnesty, then the next demand will be all their extended families coming here. In other words, more bad news for the future of the Republicans because those people will vote for Democrats because they want social programs.
Romney would have had an even harder battle for the electoral college. Most Hispanic votes are in states like California, Colorado, New Mexico, and others. It would have made no difference in those states to get a few more percentage points. In the battleground states like Ohio and Virginia, the Hispanic vote is fairly small and Romney would have needed 90% to make a difference. Again, this is all media hype to make people believe that the way for the GOP to win is pandering to Hispanics. It can’t and won’t work. They need to try for the votes of women and working class. Not to be a carbon copy of the Democrats but just a little less right wing. They have lost several Senate seats in the last couple elections that virtually all experts say were the result of extremist candidates alienating women. Nothing to do with not “getting enough Hispanic votes”.

Nothing new from Grover Norquist. He’s a pro business shill and that’s why he tells us we need more immigration while the facts say otherwise. 60 Minutes had a piece last Sunday that showed how technology has replaced workers in so many fields and will continue to do so. This is not 1885. Masses of unskilled workers only take jobs that should go to Americans.
Grover Norquist is pushing for the free flow of indentured labor. There is nothing market oriented about his or Rubio’s approach to immigration. In fact, their approach destroys the very market mechanism that protects labor — the labor shortage. This is why the anti-laborites on the right support expanded guest worker programs. Unlike traditional immigrants, guest workers are not free to sell their labor to the highest bidder.
